Hotel B
204 Saenz Peña Avenue, Barranco, Lima
Our historic mansion was built in the Belle Époque style, as a seaside retreat in the 1920s, designed by renowned French architect Claude Sahut. The mansion showcased imported Italian marble and exotic woods, as well as an ornate facade, stratospherically high ceiling with “Teatinas” (a unique style of skylight favored at the time), open balconies and expansive terraces. In the 19th century, Barranco neighborhood was a fashionable seaside resort where Lima’s aristocracy built Belle Époque summer villas; in recent years it has become the city’s bohemian neighborhood, a left bank of the artists, writers and musicians. Barranco is now Party Central, full of atmospheric restaurants and bars.
It is the only member of Relais & Chateaux in Lima.
